Kyle Coltman

Kyle Coltman is responsible for business development at the Legacy Fund. Kyle also serves as a Managing Director at SES Advisors where he is responsible for feasibility assessment, deal structure and financing of ESOP transactions. Kyle has over 30 years of experience in the field of ESOPs and has supervised over 500 ESOP buyouts for owners of privately held companies. He is a member of various organizations including The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership.

Kyle holds a M.B.A. in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

 
Robert W. Edwards

Robert W. Edwards is responsible for business development at the Legacy Fund. Robert also serves as a Partner in SES Advisors’ affiliated law firm, Steiker, Fischer, Edwards & Greenapple, P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of employee ownership, equity-based compensation, and general corporate and employee benefits law. He is a Director of The ESOP Association, a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership, and a Trustee of the Employee Ownership Foundation.

Robert holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.

 
David B. Fenkell

David B. Fenkell is responsible for business development and marketing at the Legacy Fund and is a member of its Advisory Board. David also serves as the President and CEO of Alliance Holdings where he has overseen the acquisition and transition to ESOP ownership of over 15 companies and has been involved in close to $1 billion in leveraged ESOP loans.

David holds a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan School of Law and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

 
Steven B. Greenapple

Steven B. Greenapple is responsible for business development at the Legacy Fund. Steven also serves as a Principal at SES Advisors where he has gained extensive experience in transactions involving Employee Stock Ownership Plans. Steven is a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership as well as The ESOP Association, where he currently serves as the Vice President of the New Jersey/New York Chapter and on the association’s Legislative and Regulatory Committee.

Steven holds a J.D. from the Cornell School of Law and a B.S. from Cornell University.

 
James F. Higgins Jr.

James Higgins is responsible for investment analysis/due diligence at the Legacy Fund. James also serves as a Principal and Shareholder at SES Advisors where he is responsible for business development, advisory services and transaction execution of Employee Stock Ownership Plan leveraged buyouts. James’ expertise includes buyout transaction structuring and debt financing for both fully collateralized and cash flow transactions.

James holds a M.S. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. from Boston College.

 
Stephen P. Magowan

Stephen P. Magowan is responsible for business development at the Legacy Fund. Stephen also serves as a Principal at SES Advisors and Steiker, Fischer, Edwards & Greenapple, P.C. He has particular expertise in the field of employee ownership and serves as an advisor to companies in the establishment and maintenance of Employee Stock Ownership Plans. Stephen helped found the Vermont Employee Ownership Center in 2001 and has lectured at each of its annual conferences.

Stephen holds a J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in Saint Louis, MO, and a B.A. from Ohio University.

 
Robert E. Massengill

Robert Massengill is responsible for business development at the Legacy Fund. Robert also serves as the President of SES Advisors and has been working with owners of privately held companies for more than twenty years. Robert is an active member of the leading trade associations, including The ESOP Association, where he is a member of the Valuation Advisory Committee, and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).

Robert holds a M.B.A. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University (Ohio).

 
Meg Shrum

Meg Shrum is responsible for marketing and investment analysis/due diligence at the Legacy Fund. Meg also serves as a Senior Vice President at SES Advisors where her focus is on feasibility assessment, transaction structure and financing of ESOP transactions. Meg is a member of The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership, and a frequent speaker on ESOP matters.

Meg holds a M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina.

 
Christopher Springer

Christopher Springer is responsible for portfolio management at the Legacy Fund. Chris also serves as Director of Portfolio Management at Alliance Holdings where he is responsible for partnering with portfolio companies for value creation. Chris joined Alliance from The Dow Chemical Company where he held various positions in marketing and supply chain, culminating in Global Marketing Director for Semiconductor Technologies.

Chris holds a M.Eng. in Logistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a M.A. in International Affairs from Georgetown University, and a B.S. in Management from Bucknell University.

James G. Steiker is responsible for business development at the Legacy Fund and is a member of its Advisory Board. James also serves as Chairman and CEO of SES Advisors, Inc. and is a Founding Partner of Steiker, Fischer, Edwards & Greenapple, P.C. James has more than twenty years of experience as a legal and financial advisor in Employee Stock Ownership Plans. James is a Trustee of the Employee Ownership Foundation, a member of the Finance Committee of The ESOP Association and serves on the board of the National Center for Employee Ownership.

James holds a J.D. degree from the New York University School of Law, where he was a Root-Tilden-Snow Scholar, and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
